NEW LIFE MINERAL

LIVESTOCK #1

Norwood, MO - Oakridge Dairy Farm, Jon says, "My cows are in better health, have
lower somatic cell counts, better conception rates and better heat detection. Just better
overall herd health. Seems to work really well with Midvale Farm Supply Vitamin
Booster Pak and Redmond Natural Trace Salt. It has definitely helped our bottom line."

Norwood, MO- Manas Mullet says, " Heat detection for AI breeding is noticeably improved, along with dramatic improvement in conception rates. Somatic cell count is much lower and overall herd health is better. Also, Midvale Farm Supply Booster Pak and Redmond Trace Mineral Natural Salt work very well with New Life Mineral. The mineral program is cheaper that what we were using and seems to get better results."

Wisconsin- Joe says, "Cows are showing stronger heats and having better conception
rates. Also cows foot problems seem to have improved or even went away since feeding
New Life Mineral. He also feeds Redmond Natural Trace Mineral Salt."

Ohio- Steve says, "Since feeding New Life Mineral he has had 100% conception rates on
his dairy heifers. He had never achieved over 80% before switching to New Life
Mineral."

Versailles, MO- Lawrence says, " A noticeable improvement in overall health and fly
control. Believes it's the mineral boron in the New Life Natural. Very satisfied with the
results of the product."

Versailles, MO- Steve says, "Noticeable improvement in reproductive health. Also
controls horn flies. Very happy with the results of the product,"

To Whom It May Concern: We have used New Life on our ranch for about 25 years with
very good results on 240 mother cows. We have raised Registered Red Angus for about
10 years. The bull calves have always tested excellent and testicle measurements none
less than 35mm. Our vet says they are the best that he tests! We have eliminated scours in
the calves, no pinkeye, no foot rot and no flies!

Use of Spredor 4 in Rotational

Grazing and Pastures

The introduction of Spredor 4 with its improved creeping-root trait and improved forage yield coincides with a renewed interest in rotational grazing for dairy herds and other livestock. Extreme winter hardiness. an aggressive creeping trait and resistance to prevalent alfalfa diseases make Spredor 4 perfectly designed for

rotational grazing.

Under rotational grazing, pastures are subdivided into small paddocks either by permanent or portable electric fences. A water supply must be readily available Livestock are grazed on a paddock for short periods (1-3 days) before being moved to a new paddock. The old paddock is then allowed to recover before livestock are again allowed to graze. Intensive rotational grazing requires greater management and optimizes returns and forage quality by using smaller paddocks and moving livestock once or twice daily.

Superior Grazing Results with Alfalfa

Improved forage quality is the predominant reason for planting alfalfa pastures. In many cases, the grazed alfalfa is higher in protein and energy than forages that are mechanically harvested and stored. Cows eat fresh. Lush forage daily with little or no leaf loss.

Alfalfa grazing has resulted in excellent animal performance in university trials. Legume and legume-grass pastures are superior to grass pastures and hay. Legumes provide higher quality forage and have resulted in improved rates of gain, similar or better milk production, improved herd health and higher conception rates not to mention reduced costs and feed purchases. A Michigan State University study showed a $377 per cow net income improvement from implementing a rotational grazing program. Other studies have shown that average daily gains of 1.5 to 2.0 pounds per head are possible when beef cattle are grazed on pure stands of alfalfa.

Another advantage of alfalfa pasture is its deep root system allows it to survive drought and still provide an acceptable level of forage for grazing.

Guidelines for Rotational Grazing of Alfalfa

Spredor 4 will respond positively to good pasture management techniques whether you're interested in season-long grazing or occasional grazing when seasonal weather conditions make harvesting quality alfalfa difficult. Here are some tips for setting up a rotational grazing program.

·        Start grazing alfalfa when it reaches the bud stage. Alfalfa should be grazed as close to the ground as possible without damaging the crown. Graze to 2-3 inches of stem height to ensure that new growth comes from the crown buds and not from the auxiliary buds on the stems. Clipping can also be used to cut stems to initiate regrowth if grazing pressure is not heavy enough during the spring and early summer.

A two-phase grazing system works best. First graze animals with high nutrient demand such as lactating dairy cows. Then have dry cows or heifers come in to clean up the less palatable stems.

·        Rotational grazing for short grazing periods of one to seven days with a long recovery period of 28-35 days is the major key to successful season-long grazing which still maintaining healthy, productive stands. Leave at least a 6-inch stubble in the fall to catch snow, protect against ice sheeting and insulate crowns from extreme cold.

·       Stock density should be great enough to harvest the available forage in less than a week and preferably fewer than four days, generally 3-6 head per acre.

·       One or more sacrifice paddocks enhance a gazing program where alfalfa is the main forage. A sacrifice paddock is an area, preferably with grass sod, that can be used to hold cattle and feed supplemental forage during wet weather or to allow adequate regrowth of alfalfa paddocks.

·       To reduce concerns from bloat, seed a forage grass with the alfalfa. Never put hungry cattle into alfalfa to graze. Feed non-bloating roughage source first. Check cattle frequently during the first few days on pasture and then during periods of cool, wet weather when the bloat risk is greatest. Consider feeding a bloat preventative compound a few days before and during the grazing period. More mature pastures are less likely to cause bloat.
